LA FAMILIA
Nuestra familia es grande. Tengo tres hermanos y dos hermanas. Me llamo Carlos. Tengo doce años. Mis tres hermanos se llaman Federico, Antonio y Felipe. Federico tiene quince años, Antonio tiene diez y Felipe tiene seis.
Federico es más grande que Antonio y Felipe. Federico es mayor que yo. Soy menor que Federico. Antonio y Felipe son menores que yo. Nosotros cuatro muchachos somos hijos del señor y de la señora Herrera. Nuestro padre se llama Antonio Herrera y nuestra madre se llama Juana Herrera. No sólo tengo hermanos, tengo también dos hermanas. Mis hermanas se llaman Ana y María. Ana tiene veinte años y María tiene ocho años. Los hijos y las hijas de una familia se llaman hermanos. Hermanos significa por consiguiente todos los hijos
y todas las hijas de la misma familia. De la misma manera la palabra "padres" significa el padre y la madre. El padre, la madre, los hijos y las hijas forman una familia. Mi padre y mi madre tienen seis niños o hijos. El hermano de mi padre es mi tío y el hermano de mi madre es también mi tío. La hermana de mi padre es mi tía. Mi madre tiene también dos hermanas que son también mis tías. Mis tíos y mis tías me traen siempre hermosos regalos. Algunas veces me traen un libro o un juguete, y otras veces me traen alguna cosa de comer, como una torta o una naranja o chocolates.

Our family is big. I have three brothers and two sisters. My name is Charles. I am 12 years old. My three brothers are Federick, Antony and Philip. Federick is 15 years old and Anthony is 10 and Philip is six.
Federick is the older than Anthony and Philip. Federick is the bigger than me. I am younger than Federick. Anthony and Philip are younger than me. We four are childre of Mr and Mrs. Herrera. Our father is Anthony Herrera and our mother is Juana Herrera. We are not just brothers, we have two sisters. My sisters are Anna and Mary. Anna is 20 years and Mary is 8 years old. The sons and daughters of a fmaily are called siblings "hermanos". The word "hermanos" siblings is used for  both sons and daughters of the same family.  In the same way the word "padres" is used equally for both father and mother. Mother, Father, sons and daughters make a family. My father and my mother have six children(ninos or hijos). The brother of my father is my uncle (tío) and the brother of my mother is also my uncle (tío). The sister of my father is my aunty (tía) and the sister of my mother is also my aunty (tía). My mother also has two sisters and they are also my aunties. My uncles and my aunties always give me nice gifts. Sometimes they bring a book or a game and other times they gbring things to eat, a cake, oranges or chocolates.

El padre de mi padre es mi abuelo. La madre de mi padre es mi abuela. Ellos viven todavía. Ellos son mis abuelos paternos. Mis abuelos maternos no viven, han muerto. Mi abuelo paterno es siempre feliz y alegre. Mi abuela paterna está triste porque está enferma. Mi abuelo paterno me cuenta muchos cuentos interesantes. El hijo de mi tío o de mi tía es mi primo. La hija de mi tío o de mi tía es mi prima. Soy el sobrino de mi tío y
de mi tía. Mi hermana Ana es la sobrina de mi tío y de mi tía. Soy el nieto de mis abuelos. Mi hermana María es la nieta de mis abuelos.

My father's father is my grandfather. The mother of my father is my grandmother. They live with us. They are paternal grantparents. My maternal grandparents are not alive. They are dead. My grandfather ris always happy and cheerful. My paternal grandmother is also sad because she is not well. My paternal grandfather tells me interesting stories. The son of my uncle or my aunt is my cousin(primo). The daughter of my uncle or my aunty is also cousin(prima). I am nephew of my aunty and my uncle. My sister Anna is the niece of my uncle and my aunt. We are grandchildren of my grandparents. My sister Mary is the granddaughter of my grandparents.
